We would like to announce a partial revision to the support provided for artists participating in “2026 Season 4,” which is currently open for applications.

In light of recent global circumstances and the continuing depreciation of the Japanese yen, the residency activity support grant — previously provided as the Japanese yen equivalent of USD 15 per month — will be revised for “2026 Season 4” to a fixed maximum amount of JPY 150,000 per month (tax included), without currency conversion.

Please note that there will be no changes in “2026 Season 4” regarding:
travel expense support for international artists, and
residency activity support for Japanese artists.

We sincerely apologize for announcing this revision less than 10 days before the application deadline.

For artists who pass the document screening for “2026 Season 4,” this revision will also be clearly restated in the notification email.
Only applicants who agree to these revised conditions should proceed with interview reservations, and the conditions will also be reconfirmed during the online interview.
