We would like to inform you of a partial revision to the support provided for artists participating in the currently open call for 2026 Season 4.

In light of recent global economic conditions and the continued depreciation of the Japanese yen, the residency activity support grant for international artists, which has previously been provided as the equivalent of USD 1,500 per month converted into Japanese yen, will be revised for 2026 Season 4 to a maximum of JPY 150,000 (tax included) per month.

Please note that there will be no changes to the travel expense support provided to international artists or to the residency activity support grant provided to Japanese artists for 2026 Season 4.

We sincerely apologize for announcing this revision with less than ten days remaining before the application deadline.

In addition, all artists who pass the document screening stage for 2026 Season 4 will receive this information again in their notification email. Only applicants who agree to these revised conditions should proceed with interview booking. The revised conditions will also be reconfirmed during the online interview.
