◆展覧会について

本展では、7月中旬より姫路市花田町高木地区で滞在制作を行ってきた2人の《彫刻家》、
葉栗里　@hagurisato_works
と
馬渕洋　@mabuchimo3
の作品を展示します。

見知らぬ土地での日々、地域に息づく皮革文化との出会い、そして新たな素材と技術への挑戦。
普段は木や石を主素材とする二人が地元のタンナーと交流を重ね、初めて『革』を用いたアート表現に挑みました。自らの彫刻道具や培ってきた知識を手に、革へアプローチすることで切り拓いた新たな可能性。
この地だからこそ生まれた作品の数々を、会場でご体感いただけます。

◆Exhibition Overview

*Admission for this exhibition is based on a voluntary donation system. Your contributions will directly support exhibition operations and the participating artists.

This exhibition presents works by two sculptors,

Sato HAGURI @hagurisato_works and

Hiroshi MABUCHI @mabuchimo3,

who have been working in residence in the Takagi area of Hanada-cho, Himeji City since mid-July.

Days spent in an unfamiliar place, encounters with the local leather culture, and challenges with new materials and techniques.

The two artists, who normally work primarily with wood and stone, spent time connecting with local leather tanners and took on the challenge of creating art with leather for the first time. Drawing on their own sculptural tools and accumulated knowledge, they explored new possibilities by approaching leather from their own unique perspectives.
